The Birth
2013
Vintage report
The first harvest was in 2013.
300 bottles, not for sale, of a perfectly accomplished wine, promising for subsequent years. Each individual vintage has its own identity, with different nuances constructed around the elegant, vibrant character typical of this terroir.
The number of bunches is ideal, not excessive. A cool, rainy spring delayed the flowering by a few days, resulting in a shift of at least a week in the theoretical harvest time. An ideal summer, hot but not excessively so, allowed the grapes to ripen swiftly and evenly. The bunches are sparse and well positioned, with no thinning out required except in a few areas where growth is more vigorous than average. This brought us to 12 October, when we harvested and baptized the “first” Vin de la Neu, during a heavy fall of snow.
Tasting notes
The wine is clear, brilliant and lemon-yellow hued with tinges that shift to green. The intensity of the scent is strong but never overwhelming. Discernible hints of citrus fruits and herbaceous characteristics of fresh cut hay and white flowers. The wine is dry, characterized by its high acidity that guarantees dynamism and great drinkability, making the wine lean and vibrant at the same time. The aromas discerned by the nose are once again found on the palate. The wine is savory and the finish is definitely mineral.
The Début
2014
Vintage report
Cool, rainy year, both during the spring, when rain is to be expected, and in summer, when it is less common. A fundamental role was played by leaf management, with careful pruning allowing the bunches to dry quickly at all times, thanks to the winds of the Dolomites, and to ripen, albeit 10 days later than the first harvest. The vine has proved tolerant to disease even during the most difficult years, and able to produce grapes with excellent chemical and organoleptic characteristics.

The Precision
2015
Vintage report
The 2015 vintage was characterized by a cool, rainy spring and a summer marked by dry, sunny days, which allowed the grapes to ripen slightly early. The drop in temperatures recorded in September was essential to maintain the acidity and flavor percursors until the day the grapes were harvested.
Bottles produced 508 bottles and 30 magnums
Tasting notes
Precise, quality wine; clear, brilliant and lemon-yellow hued with tinges that shift to green. Elegant aroma, with hints of rose petals, grapefruit juice, dried orange blossom, camphor, walnut skin and green tea leaves. The white almonds, blended with geranium and lemon blossom, complete the secondary profile. Full-bodied, fleshy and well rounded, with a taut, lively structure and a juicy, concentrated finish that denotes bite and character. Surprising acidity perfectly blended with the background.
The Power
2016
Vintage report
One of the best years of the last decade: the classic, “normal” year that gives the grapes the ideal balance for producing wines with significant evolutionary potential. The bunches ripened perfectly, slowly and gradually, and the harvest, well into October, made it possible to preserve the bouquet beautifully, thanks to the cold nights when temperatures fell below 10°C..

The Exuberance
2017
Vintage report
A bright year.
Characterized by a balanced, generally dry climate for the area. Temperatures were never excessively high, and the grapes, with the leaves duly removed during flowering, ripened thanks to the particularly bright light of the season. The must, immediately clear and with a rich organoleptic profile, was fermented at length in barriques to create a highly complex wine.
Bottles produced: 518 and 30 magnums
Tasting notes
Appealing, desirable wine; clear, brilliant and lemon-yellow hued with tinges that shift to green. Intense yet never overwhelming, with clearly discernible floral and herbaceous notes of cut grass, lime blossom, dried magnolia and lupini beans. Secondary hints of rose petals, talc and white gravel. The complex bouquet is completed with hints of white musk and nutmeg. Dry wine with high acidity. Medium body, lean structure, with significant pressure and a tight, particularly profound finish. The aromas discerned by the nose are once again found on the palate. The wine is savory and the finish is decidedly mineral.
The Balance
2018
Vintage report
Classic year.
Cold, snowy winter, followed by a spring with frequent rainfall. The summer was dry and hot, and the growth of the vines slowed down after a period of significant development at a regular pace. The rains of late August were followed by calm, cool weather that allowed the grapes to become healthy and ripe by harvest time. The Johanniter shows all its character in this vintage.
Bottles produced: 491 and 30 magnums
Tasting notes
Smooth and balanced. The wine is clear, brilliant and lemon-yellow hued with tinges that shift to green, with discernible hints of burnt lemon, orange and cedar blending elegantly with herbaceous notes of rosemary, thyme, sage and laurel. The secondary notes in the glass feature magnolia, camphor, unripe pineapple and a very subtle hint of hazelnut. Medium to full body, with a mouthfilling structure that alternates a sapid entry with a rich central sensation on the palate and a subtly bitter finish. Strikingly unripe, exotic aftertaste blended with an encore of kiwi and warm white gravel.
